Cash Services and Asset Management

If you work in an accounting or business management role at NC State, we're here to help.

In addition to its other functions — such as accounts payable or payroll — the Controller’s Office offers general accounting advice and guidance to NC State employees who make use of the university’s financial systems.

We oversee the university’s capital asset management system (CAMS) to track NC State’s capital assets from purchase until disposal. We provide day-to-day cash management and services and banking guidance. And we provide operational support to departments on campus with active merchant accounts or needs related to the payment card industry (PCI).

Above all, we help accountants and business officers across campus to manage university accounts and comply with applicable policies, procedures and standards.

Knowledge Base

The NC State Finance Division maintains a self-service online library to help you navigate university business processes, state compliance regulations, finance guidelines and more. Access hundreds of help topics 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
